India’s Aditi Ashok too has been able to eshtablished as one of the top four golfers in the world. However, she missed the medal by very narrow margin but her performance speaks a lot.

Race for medals still on

So what, if the quest for medals is over now for Women’s team! Indian women’s team is now among top four teams in the world. Women’s team spirit is condemnable and performance of Gurjeet Kaur and Vandana Kataria were simply amazing. Their struggle to win the match was clearly visible against the Great Britain’s team.

The 3-4 result itself speaks a lot about their performance. So, as the social media came out for their support, they should now prepare for Paris Olympics.

Although, Indian players missed two great opportunities to win medals including one in wrestling Gold, chances are still there to add more medals in the kitty as Bajrang Punia’s entry into wrestling semi-final and performance of Indian player in golf keeps hope alive to add more medals and better ranking for India in Tokyo Olympic despite the fact Ravi Dahia has missed golden chance to clinch a gold medal in the Olympics. But a lot of developments are still to take place.

Indian spectators have received some solace on Wednesday as Indian players are now close to clinch more medals. Wednesday started with Lovlina bronze medal. Although, she lost the semi-final match in boxing by 5-0 against her Turkish opponent number one boxer Busenaz Surmeneli but she had already assured the medal as per rules.

Hockey: Quest for Gold ends!

 Olympictalks

Tuesday morning is certainly not in favour of India in Tokyo as quest for gold for Indian hockey team ended with defeat in the semi-final against Belgium. Although, chances are still there to win a medal after a long wait of over four decades but it is limited to bronze medal.

But, as winning a medal in Olympics creates history so Indian team would certainly not like to lose this opportunity easily, especially in hockey. Moreover, Indian team will have to make strategy to not provide any opportunity of penalty corner to the opponent team. It is notable that the opponent team Belgium has scored three goals (out of five) only through penalty corner.

Semi-final matches of women’s hockey teams are yet to be played, so there is still a hope for gold or silver medal despite the fact that this is first time women’s team has reached to this level.

Indian challenges in the games like equestrian, discus throw, shooting, archery, table tennis have been almost over. Wrestling too has witnessed initial glitches. In such a situation spectators should keep our finger crossed as the there are only two medals in Indian kitty till date.
