Although, India’s medal kitty is not swelling like others and several disappointments appeared in Tokyo Games like loss of match by Mary Kom after a controversial decision by the judges and exit of Deepika Kumari, Sharat Kamal and others  but the excitement of sports is still keeping Indian spectators’ hope alive.

While P V Sindhu’s entry into semifinal and Lovlina Borgohain’s entry in semifinal give hope of at least two medals in the biggest carnival of the games, events on Saturday added some new silverline as Kamalpreet Kaur has made entry into final in discus throw match by throwing the disc 64.00 meter. S
he became first woman player to breach the qualifying mark for final.

Kamalpreet although was a slow starter and initially threw the discus 60.29 meter but later on she took a giant leap and breached the qualifying mark by throwing the disc to 64 meter.

Another women player Vandana Kataria has also shown some magic as she registered a Hattrick by scoring three goals in hockey match against South Africa in a seven goal thriller match. Vandana scored three goals out of four. India won the thriller against South Africa by 4-3.

Better team performances are being witnessed by the spectators like in men’s hockey and some other games.
